Club Policies

Access, membership, cancellations, waitlists and how we play together at OPUS.

Effective October 15, 2026

Club basics

To offer high-quality experiences for our players and staff, we promote shared responsibility for OPUS people, the facility and amenities. These policies support our community, and we welcome your input at team@opuspickleball.com.

Access
An OPUS account and signed Club Waiver are required for all players. Without an account, guests are the financial responsibility of the player who makes the reservation.
Court use
Open Play and Academy sessions are limited to adults (at least 18 years old) and youth players pre-approved by the Club. Children can play through Youth, Teen and Family sessions, and in court reservations with at least one adult.
Court care
Only athletic shoes are allowed on courts; other types can damage court surfaces. Please keep food and drinks courtside, off the courts.
Facility care
To minimize your trace on the courts, lounge and restrooms, use the trash and recycling bins, pour liquids into sinks (not trash bins), and tell us if something isn't working or needs attention. Thank you in advance.
Club hours
Monday–Friday: 7 AM–9 PM
Saturday: 7 AM–5 PM

Membership

For a summary and comparison of membership benefits, visit opuspickleball.com/join.

  • Household option. Available for 2 adults and up to 3 children living in the same household.
  • Free Open Play. Violations of our cancellation policy may lead to forfeiture of this benefit and additional fees.
  • Preferred Academy rates. Discounts apply only to Group Skills Clinics with coaches (OPUS 10%, Co-Op 5%). Standard rates apply to private and semi-private lessons.

Memberships are subject to change based on availability. Any policy changes will be communicated to players by email and through the OPUS mobile app.

Cancellations and no-shows

The best way to manage reservations is with the OPUS Pickleball Club mobile app. Cancellation deadlines are set up to support quality playing experiences, respect coach schedules and make the most of court time.

Session typeCancellation deadline
Open PlaySessions that start before 10AM - 12hrs
Sessions that start after 10AM - 4hrs
Court reservation12 hours
Clinic or lesson with a coach12 hours
  • How to cancel. Cancel or withdraw from an event directly in CourtReserve. Emails, texts and TeamReach messages are not acceptable forms of withdrawal notice.
  • Payment. Full payment is expected unless you cancel before the deadline. If you cancel a prepaid session in time, OPUS issues club credit that is applied automatically to your next club payment or purchase. For players with free Open Play, policy violations may lead to losing that benefit and additional fees.
  • When OPUS cancels. If OPUS cancels an event, you get a full refund as club credit or to your original payment method.

Waitlists

When an event is full, you can join its waitlist and be registered automatically if someone cancels. To join, tap or click Join Waitlist on the event page in the OPUS mobile app or the member portal. It's free to join.

  • Automatic registration. When a spot opens, the first player on the waitlist is registered automatically and gets a notification. There's no need to claim the spot. Automatic registration continues right up to the event start time.
  • Waitlist order. Spots are filled in the order players joined the waitlist.
  • Watch for notifications. Keep notifications on so you know when you've been added to an event.
  • Payment and cancellations. Once you're registered from the waitlist, full payment is expected and the cancellation deadlines above apply, the same as any other registration.
  • Leave the waitlist if your plans change. Remove yourself in the mobile app or member portal as soon as you can't attend. Because spots can be filled up to the start time, you could be registered after the cancellation deadline has passed. In that case, full payment is still expected.
  • One spot per player. Each player joins the waitlist under their own OPUS account and can't hold a spot for someone else.

OPUS Sportsmanship & etiquette

We care about what happens in our club and among our players. If we believe a player's behavior isn't consistent with club policies, we'll take appropriate action. Examples include:

  • Disrespectful, aggressive or bullying behavior toward players, staff or visitors, in the club or through any verbal or written communication
  • Signing up for an event that doesn't match your skill level. OPUS reserves the right to withdraw a player from any such event.
  • Deliberately excluding players during events

If you have questions about sportsmanship, please review USA Pickleball's Essential Sportsmanship Guide.
